In my back yard ravine the trees are very kind. On dark days, the tall evergreens bend like ship masts in the wind. Chickadees, jays, woodpeckers, once in a while a few deer. My spot is a little ways past the old stone foundation. I sit there very still, listen to the falling leaves.
