M'Lisa Colbert is a Master student in the department of Global Development Studies at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. She has worked as the Managing Editor for the Undercurrent, a Research Assistant for the Municipal Services Project and as a Government Relations and Communications associate in the renewable energy industry in Quebec, Canada. She is currently conducting a study on participatory renewable energy initiatives in Central America that is being funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Research interests include: Energy Democracy, cultural politics, political theory, ethics, sustainability, environment, and ecology.
